When following an active route on CarPlay, the large blue street name banners frequently cover critical parts of the map — roundabouts, junctions, and route forks — making it impossible to see the road layout ahead.

This is not just a visual inconvenience. In my case, a banner completely covered an upcoming roundabout, causing a near-accident. This is a well-documented safety issue reported by the community since at least 2015, yet no option to disable or reduce these banners exists.

Requested feature: a simple toggle in Settings to hide street name banners during active navigation, or at minimum make them semi-transparent so the route remains visible underneath.

Waze's greatest strength is keeping drivers safe. These banners directly contradict that mission.
