Dear Waze Development Team,
I am a daily and dedicated user of Waze, and I rely heavily on the app for my daily commutes. I truly appreciate the real-time updates and the community-driven aspect of the platform.
I am writing to suggest a new feature that I believe would greatly improve road safety and the overall user experience. Currently, the alerts for police presence, hazards, and accidents sometimes arrive a bit too late for a driver to react smoothly and safely.
It would be incredibly helpful if users had the option to customize the warning distance for these alerts in the app's settings. For example, adding a feature that allows drivers to choose to receive alerts 1 kilometer or 1.5 kilometers before reaching the reported location.
Allowing users to set an earlier warning distance would give drivers more time to adjust their speed, safely switch lanes if necessary, and maintain better focus on the road without sudden surprises.
Thank you for your time, consideration, and for continuously working to improve Waze for all of us.
Best regards.
