**Title: Add an Emergency Response Vehicle Type to Waze**
**Suggestion:**
I would like to suggest adding a new vehicle type to Waze: **Emergency Response Vehicle**.
Currently, Waze allows users to select Private, Taxi, or Motorcycle as their vehicle type. However, there is no dedicated profile for emergency response vehicles.
I propose adding an optional vehicle profile for:
- Fire and rescue vehicles
- Ambulances and emergency medical services
- Police vehicles
- Volunteer firefighting and disaster response vehicles
This feature could help emergency responders navigate more effectively when responding to incidents, fires, road accidents, natural disasters, and other emergencies.
**Suggested features:**
1. A dedicated Emergency Response Vehicle option in the vehicle settings.
2. Routing that takes into account applicable road restrictions and legally permitted access.
3. The ability to configure vehicle dimensions and weight where relevant, especially for large fire engines and rescue trucks.
4. Optional integration with authorized emergency response systems in the future.
The feature should respect national traffic laws and should not automatically grant special driving privileges to ordinary users.
As a volunteer firefighter and rescue responder in Bulgaria, I believe this feature could benefit emergency services and volunteer response organizations worldwide.
Faster and more appropriate navigation can help responders reach incidents more efficiently and potentially save lives.
