Waze for Emergency vehicles.
Not for the common Waze market. But might be useful for Public safety and emergency situations. Give the "ambulance"(example) Waze and it can help alert all other vehicles of the incoming emergency vehicle and its route. Also it can help navigate the Emergency vehicle to easier routes.
Great thinking! We’ll share with the team; they’re always interested in new feature ideas.

Have an Ambulance icon for the map display. I've been a Paramedic since '02.

Add an ambulance as a vehicle type on the map for us in EMS especially when we are working and using waze

I agree, it would be good if there was an alert that said something like, "There may be an emergency vehicle coming your way"

Please add Fire & Ambulance Icons that can be added like police. A road may be blocked by crews who do not fit the police, construction or a crash options.

Emergancy vheivles can drive by different rules. emergancy vehicles can pass trough heavy traffic, go on some closed roads, and pass red lights. their estimated arrival time will be different than other vheicals, and it might somtimes be better for them to drive on a shorter way with more traffic, than going from a longer way that will pass around the trafic jams. it will be even better if the app will learn how each driver deal with heavy traffic, because one ambulance driver might pass it in 3 minutes, while other one will pass it in 6 minutes because he will drive with more caution. of course there will need to be an option to toggle between emergancy and non emergany driving mode fast on the app. as an EMT, I belive that waze, can really help people get emergncy care faster in this way.

Give Firetrucks/ambulance vehicles a special Waze account, so they show up on the screen as a blinking light behind you , or coming the other way...

Good morning,
I regularly use your app even when on 118 emergency service, it would be useful to also have routes for ambulances, therefore giving users the possibility initially to propose the best routes to move towards hospitals to get there as quickly as possible with wide and fast roads , with as few turns as possible. It is proposed as a totally free consultancy to carry out this project, I am from Turin and it would be a city that lends itself to being a pilot area. What we Drivers lack is a hand in fast routes combined with real-time info on traffi or etc.
I tried to use the taxi option which also allows passage in ztl I guess or preferential lanes but it's not the best.
Thanks in advance for any contact or feedback.
Happy Sunday

Hello! EMT here! I use waze when navigating. It'd be fantastic to have an ambulance option just like there's motorcycle and taxi etc. When we put in a hospital, it should bring us to the ambulance bay instead of the entrance, fastest route to patients, etc! Would be a fantastic addition to the app and make my job a little easier :)

(KINDLY READ EVRYTHING)
Objectives:
1. To assist emergency responders and give them the best route;
2. To alert Wazers to be courteous to these vehicles; and,
3. To save lives! What are the key features?
1. Have an "emergency vehicle" option.
2. Have an alerter to Wazers that there's an emergency to pass by them.
3. Give the emergency responders the best and fastest route to their destination. How to implement?
1. Have the local government give such special accounts to emergency responders to identify themselves on the map. (Why? This is to avoid spam.)
2. If there are private emergency organizations, have them coordinate to their local government unit to have this special ability. (This is good for fire stations that was not established and not being run by the government.)What's in it for the government?
This is great for emergency call centers (like 911). They could have a Waze live map on their desk, so they could dispatch immediately those emergency vehicles on the road that's not in emergency and/or waiting for calls.Other features:
1. Have an option for the emergency responders to classify them whether they are in emergency (on call) or not. So that, it would not trigger the alerter on the Wazers' side when not needed to.
2. Obviously, have the Wazers the option to disable this kind of alerter.Feel free to comment down below for any other suggestions that I didn't mention!

Everybody wants to see where Fire, EMS, and police are coming with lights and siren.
But can you also develop an option for them to turn on "lights and siren" mode, and this could ignore oneway streets, simply navigate the fastest-shortest way.

Great idea. Too many drivers are not aware of surroundings and cause delays to emergency vehicles especially on single carriageway

Suggestion to Emergency vehicle [EV] option to Waze..
1. need verified account [medic/firemen/police] to give ability to use emergency vehicle options. suggestion : re-validated every 6month-1years
2.real time indication of incoming EV will be shown in red ping or icon with blinking aura similar to traffic light camera, speed camera etc. in map range suggesting 300-500m
3. real time indication of incoming EV route shown as message like a share route option
4. to show EV route in map with red dot or what ever colour it suit to

This would be awesome, particularly where traffic is heavy and there is less room sometimes to move to the side. The Emergency Services could then signal to those ahead on the road that there is an Ambluance/Fire Engine/Police approaching.
