Recently I was in Costa Rica where I rented a car for 3 weeks. I took my Garmin Nuvi 880 after installing a third party map that I purchased. It was nice that I could create routes for my itinerary in Basecamp and then upload them to my NUVI 880, but there were many problems trying to navigate in Costa Rica using this device. In general everyone in Costa Rica uses WAZE and many of the roads and towns that were not on my Garmin GPS map were available in WAZE. Others were not accurate and occasionally the device could not tell that I was driving on the road in my route. I still want to be able to create routes for my trips in Basecamp, but WAZE would be far better option if it were available to install on my Garmin Device.
