Hey,
Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Currently Not Planned, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.
We hope to include it in our plans for later down the line.
Thanks!

I live in Hoboken, NJ where, like many major cities, large and small, there is a significant parking shortage.
I love WAZE. I tell everyone who is not on it to get it immediately. I typically make them download while I am with them and I help set them up.
My idea is a new app that likely could leverage the technology WAZE has already. I call it SPACE. SPACE tells me where the best parking spot is around the destination I am going to that fits my car size.
The rest is up to me. I find the spot and then press a button that tells SPACE that I have taken the spot. SPACE update automatically updates other SPACE users.
If I am a good citizen I tell SPACE that I am leaving the parking space later by entering the app and pressing the appropriate button. I get points on my WAZE/SPACE profile for being a good citizen.
SPACE knows where I parked so local merchants are more likely to market to me.
SPACE takes the guess work out of parking in a new area that I have never been before.
SPACE let's users report trouble in neighborhoods for me to navigate a location just like users on WAZE tell me when there is debris in the road or traffic ahead of me.
SPACE is what I need.
Please give me SPACE, WAZE! I know you can do this.
