  3. Enable suggestions for change in traffic organization

    Via the Waze app, I can now report traffic-jams, crashes, police patrol, etc. Adding a new category "suggestion for a change in traffic organization" adressed to local municipality might be a benefit. I could suggest changes as "there should be a full line in the middle of this section to avoid collisions" or "that street should be one way" or "build a round-about in here" or "U turns should be allowed here". The suggestions could be routed (e-mail, API, third party websites) to the local representatives. Suggestions might be rated. The best rated would stay displayed. Waze app is probably…

  4. For motorcyclists using your services

    To Whom it May Concern,

    For motorcyclists using your services,
    I highly recommend 2 alternative routes specifically planned for motorcyclists
    1. In the situation for regular traffic do not change the recommended route. After all, we do now wait in line like regular vehicles.
    2. In the case of heavy traffic, let the user choose whether to use the normal route or an alternative way. After all, though the ride in traffic is faster on a motorcycle than the ride in a 4 wheel car, it still requires the motorcyclist to slow down and be careful

    muitos motociclistas acabam usando o waze como gps e acabam confundindo o waze pela velocidade que eles conseguem ir, ou seja, bem mais rapido que os carros e assim o waze acaba achando que o percurso está bom para o trânsito e na verdade não está.

  7. I have a difficult time changing gas prices when I go to a gas station and the posted "WAZE" price is different than the actual price.

    I often get to gas stations and find the prices are different from the prices shown on WAZE. I have tried to change the prices, but can't seem to do so. I could do this in the past and don't know why I can't change prices that are incorrect.

  9. Ability to drive most direct route through busy traffic with no bypasses to side streets, would be great for us that use motorcycles in city

    I often find the sat navy avoids traffic jams/heavy traffic...and takes me to side streets .not good for riding a motorcycle through London for example, when I can go through the traffic and use the main direct path...perhaps an option to go through heavy traffic routes!

  10. Road Improvements & Increase Highway Lanes, Carpools

    How many times have you traveled on a highway with consistent heavy traffic with empty space on either side and wondered, why don't they just add more lanes? [CA-237 San Jose]. Then you wonder how you can get your voice heard because everyone else is most likely thinking the same thing?

    Or you go onto a heavy on ramp and wonder, there's room for carpool, but everyone is waiting into a single line, why don't they add it?

    Or there is a pothole, but who to contact to fix? Or road improvement, or on ramp, off ramp are dangerously close…

    Thank you for your suggestion! As you may know, Waze offers HOV routing for taxis. To change your vehicle type go to Settings > Vehicle type. There are currently no plans to add more HOV options.

  12. Speaking road name/numbers in other languages

    I am English living in Hungary. Waze in Hungarian does nor speak the road names/numbers. Since Hungarian is a phonetic language, it must be a relatively standard task to write the code for Hungarian.
    I am not just blowing hot air - my partner is a phonetic linguist, and I do IT. So if you want to get this going, we could provide support.

  16. "no right on red" avoidance -- avoiding choke points and "queue across intersection"

    "No right on red" avoidance (mentioned in "choke buster") would avoid a route that includes arriving at a major road where traffic tends queue across the intersection during peak hours.

    Waze could also detect and actively avoid or reroute detours around intersections where other fleet movement would indicate the intersection is not clearing traffic during each traffic light cycle.

  17. "choke buster" mode aka (lambs to the slaughter) (also "no right on red" avoidance)

    Problem: I see a lot of wazers all jump off the freeway or arterial route only to get stuck on the same surface streets.

    I see this happen:
    The scenario is heavy traffic on a major thoroughfare.
    Several cars all take the same obscure turn off the main road (Geary) onto the tricky alternate route (eg. Steiner) only to end up fourth or tenth at a four way stop, effectively defeating the "short cut" and suddenly ETA upticks minute by minute. Aargh! : )

    So. I'd suggest Waze should monitor in real time as the "pulse" of traffic either flows…

  18. Add way indicate if there are 2+ people in the car

    If you can indicate that people are in the car with you Waze can advise you on route where you can take the HOV lanes

  19. Create area of interest around vehicle

    Allow user to specify an area of interest around their car. This area of interest would have a circular shape and diameter would be in miles. The size of the diameter would be specified by the user. The user would then select alert types that they would like to receive within this area. For example, the user would like to be alerted if a police car enters this area. The police car could be behind them, and approaching them, beside them, on the other side of the road etc....   20. Enable/Diable Navigation

    Currently i see only "Never" and "Always" as the navigation enable options on Iphone. Not sure why but i think there should be one more option which should be "While Using". This option is there on Google Maps but for some reason not on Waze. This will help phone battery or else we need to switch between enable and disable navigation to save our phone battery
