"no right on red" avoidance -- avoiding choke points and "queue across intersection"
"No right on red" avoidance (mentioned in "choke buster") would avoid a route that includes arriving at a major road where traffic tends queue across the intersection during peak hours.
Waze could also detect and actively avoid or reroute detours around intersections where other fleet movement would indicate the intersection is not clearing traffic during each traffic light cycle.
1 vote“Avoid difficult intersections” option is available in Navigation settings. Should ease the issue if not eliminate it.

"choke buster" mode aka (lambs to the slaughter) (also "no right on red" avoidance)
Problem: I see a lot of wazers all jump off the freeway or arterial route only to get stuck on the same surface streets.
I see this happen:
The scenario is heavy traffic on a major thoroughfare.
Several cars all take the same obscure turn off the main road (Geary) onto the tricky alternate route (eg. Steiner) only to end up fourth or tenth at a four way stop, effectively defeating the "short cut" and suddenly ETA upticks minute by minute. Aargh! : )So. I'd suggest Waze should monitor in real time as the "pulse" of traffic either flows…

Tarifs moyens des trajets
nous avons systématiquement plusieurs itinéraires possibles, parfois certains ayant un temps similaire voir identiques. Il pourrait être intéressant de mettre en avant les tarifs des péages ainsi parfois entre 2 trajets de 45 minutes entre le 1er faisant prendre 3 péage pour un total par exemple de 10€ et l'autre trajets avec un seul péage a 3€ cela évite des frais inutile. ou même parfois il est peut être intéressant de rallonger de 5 minute si cela évite un péage coûteux. Waze pourrait se servir des données que nous lui transmettons sur notre type de véhicule et carburant comme le…

Add way indicate if there are 2+ people in the car
If you can indicate that people are in the car with you Waze can advise you on route where you can take the HOV lanes

Web Page interaction
Why the web site does not bring my favorites places? It would be very easy for us to edit a add, delete, modify a destination on web page rather than the APP..

Reminders
In SP there is a new law that enforces every person to turn on the lights even during the day light when driving on a highway. Most people forget about and get a ticket. Waze could detect when someone is about to get to a highway and remind the person to turn on the lights and to fasten the seat belt, a security warning.

Turn on the lights alert.
In Brazil, even during the day it's mandatory to turn on the car lights when we drive in a route (highway).
It would be very helpful there was an alert reminding us to do it each time we start driving on a highway.
(No Brasil, mesmo durante o dia é obrigatório ligar os faróis ao dirigir numa estrada.

list of trips available on the web
It would be great if I could review my past trips on the web - sometimes Waze recommends a special itinerary and I cannot find afterwards what it was.
So having a tab in the web interface with "past trips" would be great.

a law was created that we have to use the low beam on the roads even during the day. I would suggest an in-app notice to kindle the light when entering a highway. Thank you

Lei do Farol no Brasil
Pessoal, pq vcs não adicionam um aviso sonoro ou em tela para que toda vez que entremos numa rodovia ele avisa para atendermos os faróis? Isto seria uma ótima inovação à serviço do usuário devido à nova lei.

The new version doesn't have an option to have location setting to be on only while the app is open. I will not use until this is solved :(
please turn this option off. I have downloaded other directional apps because waze wants my location on all of the time and drain my battery and it doesn't work well with my OCD seeing that compass arrow on . I love waze but this is a bit overkill.

The API is publicly available here: http://wsdot.wa.gov/traffic/api/ , along with several other live data streams including traffic flow, travel times, and highway cameras.
We would love to see this data integrated into the Waze app to help drivers make more informed choices about their route options.

Show school carpool lanes
Show SCHOOL "carpool" lanes; i.e. Temporary lane closures during certain hours of the day, mostly around private schools, that clog up traffic

Moto mode
Dear Sir:
In Taiwan, we mostly using motocycle, maybe 60~70% I guess.
If it can have Moto mode I'll be very grateful.
But if it have difficult in technology, Hope it can have blacklist in rode name, That we can To avoid high way and some rode or street that no motorcycle allowed in road zone or something like that
