Development Idea for Waze
Feature Proposal:
Currently, another app called Sidecar offers a feature that Waze does not have: it displays speed limits and traffic signs directly on the car’s digital dashboard. This feature is available on vehicles like the Range Rover Sport 2023.
The idea is to develop a Waze integration that allows:
Displaying speed limits on the digital dashboard.
Recognizing and showing traffic signs on the dashboard in real-time.
Providing drivers with essential navigation information without looking at the phone, enhancing safety and convenience.
This would require Waze to leverage direct vehicle integration, possibly through Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, or native IVI system support, similar to what Sidecar currently does.
