    In general while its important to lock certain elements by rank etc. I still feel its very useful for several reasons for those elements to still be visible to all users.

    Leaving the elements visible helps with transparency, understanding and learning the map behavior and function, discovering that there is more to learn about, and to aspire to reach those levels. You cant aspire to what you don't even know exists.
