    Waze defaults to Fastest Route which may send you on strange circuitous routes where Shortest Distance maybe desirable. Second, temporary Road closures may render Waze useless. I encountered this when a local Toll Road and the adjacent Access Road was closed for the day. I recommend adding the following routing options that should be selectable/modifiable when pulling up a list of Routes for Selection: Shortest Distance, Avoid Next Quarter Mile, Avoid Next Half Mile, Avoid Next Mile. For the Avoid Next routing, Waze should take into account the specified distance ahead and create possible routes to the left and right of the current route.
