Thank you for your suggestion!
The Report button was designed to be noticed while blending in and it’s important to keep it as is.
However, we will revisit this idea when working on Dark mode, in the future. Furthermore, since this is a physical issue that OLED phones suffer from in different apps, we recommend to use Battery Saver mode to allow your display some rest from bright colors that might lead to this dysfunction.
Stay tuned for more features and updates on Waze’s social pages on Facebook and Instagram. An error occurred while saving the comment

Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

The Waze answer here is completely off the mark. The report button has to be seen, yes indeed, but it doesn't need to be very bright, and doesn't need to be in exactly the same pixel spot all the time! Making it dim orange instead of light orange, and moving it around the display a bit (only a bit) will not make it any less usable when you need it - but will avoid the burnin.
The advice to use "battery saver mode" might have been useful if there was a way to turn it by default instead of just "for this ride", which, let's face it, nobody will remember to do.

Great thinking! We’ll share with the team; they’re always interested in new feature ideas.

For years, Waze has been getting these reports of screen burn-in and ignoring them. You can see on this site countless duplicates of this burn-in complain and Waze's response is always basically: "the situation is like it is because we want it to be the way it is".
Waze, a user whose phone you ruined will go around badmouthing you and un-recommending you to all his friends. Isn't it easier (and ultimately, good) to just add an "OLED mode" which will avoid screen-burn - for people who want this feature?
