    Hey,

Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not right now, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.

We hope to include it in our plans for later down the line.

    Thanks!

I'm in a left-hand drive VW Polo with Android Head Unit. With Waze default speedometer position in Android (left bottom of screen), my right hand blocks the speedometer. It is necessary for me to remove my right hand from the steering wheel and to take my eyes fairly far off the road to see it. If I use Apple CarPlay version of Waze, however, the speedometer is at the top right of the screen, which is ideal for me. (However, then I have to deal with Waze / Google decision to disable pinch to zoom in CarPlay) I don't understand why Waze / Google insist on making the speedometer arbitrarily dangerous to use by failing to listen to their user base. This topic has been open since 2016. Is it beyond the coding capabilities of Google / Waze? What gives? I believe everyone in this thread agrees that the mechanical speedometers that come in most cars are fairly inaccurate compared with GPS. It's a pity we cannot optimize the positioning of the Waze GPS speedometer to optimize for safe viewing in our cars. Implementing this feature request could really convince the user base that Waze / Google takes their safety concerns seriously.
