Currently, Waze only displays traffic lights that have a red light camera. This creates confusion for drivers, as it gives the impression that only these specific intersections are regulated by traffic signals, while many other intersections with lights are not shown at all.
This suggestion is to add an option to display all traffic lights on the map, regardless of whether they have a camera or not. This would provide a more complete and accurate representation of the road network. Drivers would be able to see upcoming traffic lights, helping them anticipate stops and adjust their driving behavior in advance, which would ultimately improve safety and navigation accuracy. This feature would also be particularly useful for drivers who are less familiar with a specific area.
This could be implemented as a simple toggle in the map display settings, allowing users to choose whether they want to see all traffic lights or only those with cameras.
