  2. When we're rerouted to avoid congestion it would really be helpful to get a brief reason.

    Feature Suggestion – Smarter Congestion Avoidance

    I’d love to see Waze introduce a setting that prioritises avoiding standstill traffic and motorway gridlock, even if the alternative route takes slightly longer overall.

    Currently, Waze often keeps drivers on heavily congested motorways unless another route is significantly faster. Many drivers would prefer the option to stay moving via A roads or smaller roads rather than risk being stuck stationary for long periods after accidents or major congestion.

    Possible features:
    • “Avoid standstill traffic” mode
    • “Prefer moving traffic over shortest ETA”
    • Earlier rerouting before reaching congestion
    • “Less stressful route” option

    I think this would massively improve the driving experience for many users.
