We like to drive to destinations that take longer or more scenic routes. In the app, we select the route we want to take, start out, and then, all of a sudden, we realize Waze has automatically, without permission or notification, changed our route to a different one. The routes it puts us on are absolutely not routes we want to go on or anywhere near, for that matter. The worst part is, by the time we realize, we are many miles off the route we wanted to take. This is incredibly frustrating. There should be a way to lock a route once it's chosen, regardless of what Waze thinks is best. We chose the route we wanted to travel for a reason. We don't want or need the app to take us the way it wants. It's infuriating.
Please give us back our freedom of choice.
If this is not corrected VERY soon, we'll just stop using the app.Lenny

It would be very helpful to have advanced notice before an upcoming road. Lots of times the system will say "turn right" as you are driving past the road you need to turn on. As drivers, we need to keep our eyes on the road, not looking at the app. It would be nice if the app said, "Turn right in half a mile," or "Turn right in 1/4 mile." A little bit of advanced notice would be very helpful.
