Waze always routes me through Mamplasan route in Laguna, Philippines because it is the shorted route but I don't have a special sticker for it. Very annoying because it reduces my selection of alternative routes. Even when I set a stop point past that junction, it routes me back to that junction. I also am not able to get an accurate ETA because I am not given a way to choose between two other routes because one of the possible routes always routes me back to that junction.

Looks like Waze can tag some roads as restricted and avoids routing to it for all but those who have special permissions (e.g. residents with sticker or RFID for opening the barrier) can pass through. Unfortunately some of these routes are tagged as passable to general public thus many get wrongly routed through them. A quick fix would be to tag them as restricted to all and just let those who have permission (stickers or RFID) take those route because they would know they
have permission to those short cuts anyway. For example, vehicles are not normally routed through private subdivisions in Manila those residents there would know that they can pass thru anyway. So it could be easy to change the default for resident only roads as restricted from being routed instead of the other way around. Otherwise some drivers after driving many miles (km) down a road need to turn back when they get prevented from "passing through" a road that is restricted to residents (or military personnel, etc.)
