I and many volunteers have found the lack of real-time knowledge regarding drop sites and items both delivered and still needed astonishing, no, better described and infuriating. My group of regular guys with trucks and trailer has spent days driving loads of MRE's, Tarps, and other needed items around with no clear real-time understanding of what has already been delivered and what is needed. I have been brainstorming (out load) this thought. Why can't we figure out a way to get WAZE to integrate with a disaster area and show drop areas like they do wrecks and other things created by the public user. Then when I get a trailer load of Water I look at my WAZE and see who has and who hasn't dropped water at certain locations. Yesterday alone six guys with three trucks and big trailers zigzagged close to 400 miles across 5 counties dropping MRE's, Tarps, Bucket Cleaning Kits, And personal sanitation kits. We loaded trailers with pallets from the Salvation Army in Tallahassee and when we asked where we should take them we were told "I don't know just go find people" we would get to designated drop areas and they would have too many of one thing than a drop area 15 miles away would have none of the items we dropped at the first place but too many of another item then, once we got to the last location, they had nothing. My vision is, if I am already looking at WAZE to navigate, why can't this app cures this issue. If I was at our first stop and I knew our last stop hasn't received any of a certainly needed item I could make sure I keep enough on the trailer to supply them. This isn't a problem the Emergency Operations Center can figure out Neither has the Red Cross (We actually resupplied two Red Cross Locations with MRE's and Cleaning supplies)Because the volunteers were clueless with their own supply chain and hadn't seen a supply truck in two days. The Mayor of one town said he had been waiting on the Gov for three days to send items we had on our trailers. IT IS A SIMPLE FIX FOR SMART APP DEVELOPERS LIKE YOU....PLEASE HELP!!!! Jay K Hill on FB
