Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Right now the only option is to stop on the road side and reseat the phone to bring the correct screen orientation back. The screen orientation switching while riding is a real distraction.
And to anyone saying this is not a Waze issue have absolutely zero idea what they are talking about .. unless in their mind everyone should be good with using Waze in portrait mode (and in this case they know even less of what they are talking about).
And since a picture is worth a thousand words here’s a link that makes it clearer what some motorcycle people have to deal with (NOTE: portrait mode is not an option in my case considering the phone location on my motorcycle handle and physical limitations).
