It's some time that waze does not turn off automatically when i close it, leaving me with dead battery.
Please add the possibility to automatically kill waze as soon as the phone isn't connected to AppleCar, Android auto or a bluetooth audio device (that usually is a car stereo)

ALERTS - NOTIFICATION ADVANCED BASED ON ACTUAL SPEED, NOT AT FIXED DISTANCES.
Reduce notification distance (based on speed limits, best on current average speed, better on a setting based on current average speed).
It often happens me that on city roads the navigator gives me informations about three crossroads ahead causing confusion.
I hear "traffic light with camera" I expect it to be the very next traffic light, not the the one after that.
Or "railroad crossing ahead" and I turn on a road 100m before the railroad (using waze just for map, not for actual navigation).

CARPLAY - DARK NAVIGATION MODE WITH NO MAP, JUST POPUPS

this request comes rom a personal experience:
I have a car that does not allow turning off the carplay screen at night neither to regulate the backlight enough, this, specially when it is also foggy make driving more hard.My request is to provide a function where the map is totally black and only voice or "popups" are shown for navigation (with no navigation show popups only if requested for roadworks, speed traps, ....)

Option to see historical police presence/speed traps. If the area is frequented with reports then label it as a historical hot spot. This way we can drive cautiously in those locations.

Changer la façon d'indiquer une route bloquée. Après avoir constaté une route bloquée en roulant, il est quasi impossible de la signaler.
On devrait pouvoir signaler une route bloquée en dehors de la zone où on se trouve pour pouvoir le faire après un trajet. C'est difficile de le faire en roulant et ilpossible avec Android Auto.

Allow users to check if they passed through ULEZ or Congestion charging from a completed journey by analysing the entire route taken
It would be very helpful and convenient to add a feature where waze analyses a completed journey and shows the user if they passed through particular tolls I.e. congestion charging and ULEZ as many people get confused about this and end up paying the charge anyway incase they did pass through them.
It would save people money and act as a fail safe.
I myself have paid many times although I have routed to avoid the tolls but the way wake works by diverting often to avoid traffic it adds tge risk of passing through the charging zones.

Less sensitivity
Im trying to look around the map to see where I need to go or at icons along the route and my map countinues to fly around all over the place.

Display next instuction after the current one
It would be really handy if you could always show the turn instruction after the current on screen instruction. It will help with early lane positioning. Ideally including the lane that you need to be in.

Multiple car profiles for those with more than one car
Most families have more than one car. Often those cars are different and may have different fuel systems, such as petrol, diesel, and electric. That means refuelling stations are different, and also permits. In London, a BEV is UL EZ exempt, and congestion charge exempt. But a diesel has to pay ULEZ and congestion charges. So routing, etc would be different. So having different profiles for each car and being able to select them when starting out or planning would be most useful. This feature is in most apps, such as parking....

Longer time to save routes
Today is September 11, 2024. I have a business meeting next Thursday, September 19, 2024 and I like using your app to keep me on track. But, I can only save an upcoming trip for today or the next three days. I think you could easily expand it to a few weeks or a month.

Re-attempt to connect to mobile/wifi signal after starting on offline map
When a car is parked in underground carpark with no mobile phone signal, Waze will use the offline map with no traffic information However it does not re-attempt to connect to mobile signal/wifi after a minute or two when the car is out in open air, and it continues the whole journal on offline map. Please enable a function to re-try connecting to phone signal via CarPlay

CarPlay notifications on home screen
On Android Auto the home screen provides speed/hazards notifications on the main screen. Can this be added into CarPlay via the home screen instead of having to have the app on full screen to see notifications.

Warnings on higher speeds, over 80km/h need to be given at 1000m, since to higher speeds mean less time/distance to respond....

Tell Waze you are pulling a trailer
Would like to tell Waze when I am pulling a trailer. Was going thru San Francisco on my way north. Waze sent me thru some alternate routes to avoid traffic, but the routes were fine for a car but problematic when pulling a trailer. Narrow alleys and straight up hills.

State name on the map
I recently used Waze on my CarPlay on a multi state trip and at no time I knew which state I was in. It would be a good idea to indicate the state's names somewhere on the display as you travel through them

Your route suggestion has made my narrow road a continuous stream to traffic. I am not exaggerating. There is driver aggression, speeding because there is no passing room as you direct cars of Putney Hill. Please do not sent cars down Coalecroft Road
London SW15.The local council & police are aware but we need your help. The road cannot cope. Drivers are thick & pushing down at speed to avoid being inconvenienced. Cars will get damaged, and I have seen a fight.

Ambulance
Good morning. Thank you for your application. I have a suggestion. I am a paramedic and like many paramedics we use your application to respect speed limits and pay attention to control zones. Would it be possible to add an ambulance vehicle and if possible a quickest route for the ambulances taking into account the size of the ambulances. Thank you in advance for considering my proposal.

Hazard needed for a person in/next to road
There was a person walking on the road in the middle of the highway, I didn’t have a button for human on or on the shoulder of the road. I had to put animal. People need to know if someone is walking on the highway!
