Build a desktop route planning site where users can plan out a long road trip with different points along the way.
Users could then download the route to Waze and use the standard app to follow the preferred route.

Put the Car Info button under options
The "Car Info" button should be under the options/settings menu not on the main screen.

Avoid Smart motorways
Hi Guys, Love the app and use it all the time, but more and more of the motorways are getting changed into Smart motorways, I know there is an option to avid Motorways but Is there an option to avoid the Smart motorways?

Select initial driving direction
Very often Waze starts up navigation facing the wrong driving direction. The direction is rectified as the vehicle starts moving, but it can be too late for the initial turn.
Please add the ability to switch driving direction when navigation starts, via a button.
Additionally, Waze should make a better guess at the intial driving direction by using compass data.

Setting the Car’s direction when starting the app and navigation is a known matter which will be addressed in the future.
There are many complexities in location tracking which cause this issue and hold us from providing a solution.
It’s currently on the back burner, but definitely a part of the backlog. -

Remove annoying ads during navigation
Remove annoying ads during navigation. They appear while stopped, but sometimes they don't disappear when you start moving again. Very annoying and unsafe.

Suppose 2 friends want to meet.

Waze can currently direct your partial walking route when it’s a part of a drive or carpool.
We are currently not planning on adding walking mode for complete routes.

Please update the WP8 app for better battery usage and overheating
The new WP8 is very harsh on the battery and overheats the phone like nothing I have ever seen before. Others have complained of this same issue in the reviews section of the Windows Phone Store. Even if the phone is plugged into the car's power source, the Waze app uses the battery faster than it is being charged and the charging just can't keep up. Makes the app impossible to use without draining battery and overheating phone.

Release new symbian version
The symbian is very popular platform wich is dying, I know. But it is still popular, and mobile phones with symbian Bella are still being released. It would be great to up to date the existing version. I heard that android and iphone use opengl to render 3d maps and symbian doesnt support it, but I think it is not the cause to completely close the symbian project.

This suggestion will not be implemented for the time being. Adding more and more options to reporting, especially for less popular types of reports such as other side which will also require another window/card, is not something we are aiming for at the moment. Please be aware that other side reporting is already available by voice using the Google Assistant! We believe investing in voice can create essentially a better and more scalable experience and we hope to bring it to more languages soon.

Android API for starting Waze navigation with multiple stops

This idea has been being discussed for a while and recognized as an important user request.
We hear the community’s voice and would like to share that while we can’t currently commit to a timeline, we do have plans to create a way to add more than one stop pre-drive.

In-app purchase for voices (like T-Pain)
If people want to keep a promotional voice (like T-Pain), give us the option to buy it as an in-app purchase.

Traffic Delays- "other side" option
When there are traffic delays on the other side of the road, there should be an option to select "other side"

Remove ads for editors with 3 or more cones
While ads are understandable to offset the costs of the servers and support necessary to make the app a successful one, it would seem that those who volunteer a healthy amount of time to edit the map should be exempt from viewing them, since they are already contributing to the Waze app. I suggest 3 or more cones, as this takes more time than just a week of editing, and would narrow down the pool enough that it wouldn't have much effect on Waze's advertising base.

Add the ability to create 'Here' as a favourite
Not all destinations have a clear address or you want to be able to use a specific entrance. It would be great if when adding a favourite Waze would let you select the place you are right now. Most GPS allow this feature.
