Please give the option in settings->privacy->Waze for "While Using App". I see and know that this is a big request and don't understand how this can't be implemented. Waze is one of the few apps that i have that run location in the background and i love to use wake but don't need it constantly on in the background. Please fix this.

No need for Location Services to be always on with ios10. It's a battery killer. Please add "only when using app" as an option.

The GPS activation could be at the same time when the Waze starts, and deactivate at the Waze is finishing. This option could be optional, by an adjustement in the menu set.

Sucks battery too being left on always. Cumbersome having to turn it off all the time.

This would be a big improvement of the app, I don't use it that much either because of this.

I agree it is a battery drain and one I turn off when not using.

It's incredibly irritating to have an always on location for waze. Even when I quit the app I receive a pop up notification from iOS telling me that Waze is still using my location. This is beyond unnecessary

Agreed!!! It's a little creepy that your tracking our movement at all times.

Even when the app is "Sleeping", Location Services are still being used and the battery is being drained.

Notice that this is NOT a request to change the settings to "Only when using the app". It's perfectly clear why it's either "Never" or "Always".

Yeah, I'm not gunna let wake use my gps all the time, wish I could only turn it on when using waze without all the hassle!

There are currently only two options for Location Services, Never and Always. Please allow "While in Use". I don't need you to know my location 100% of the time. This is a battery drain and an annoyance. I have stopped using the app because of this.

PLEASE , add the option on the locations settings to " only wail app is in use " if one forgets to trun it off , it uses too much data and Batt.

Give the possibility that the user can switch the locating services not only between "off" and "permanent on". I would like the option – like many other apps do – If the app needs the locating services while I'm using the app, it can be ON. Thank you!

I don't know why you switched that. I understand why but we don't want or gps signal on even when the app is not on. Bad move, now I'll stop using it. So silly and o enjoyed the app. I don't enjoy my phone running out of juice because waze is pulling a GPS signal 24-7 when I'm not even using it. Bad change !!!

Same here. Recommed that the app use the Gps only when Runs. Not just Almásy and never.

Hi, I'm a Wazer since many years, and really like the app, but the only thing that bothers me is that localization is active "always" or "never". Other apps gives you the choice "app in use", I think you should change this parameter to give more privacy to the user when not traveling.
