bring back the beep option for other waze users on the road, it was taken out of the new version

I noticed that when I click on any wazer ln the map, it displays their name as ‚wazer‘ and they seemingly joined 8 years ago. Furthermore, the buttons ‚beep‘ and ‚message‘ are grayed out, it is the same for every user.
I contacted support for that matter, thinking it was a fixable issue client-side. But to my surprise, I got told it was the intended way of working.
So I suggest either removing the name, date of join and the buttons entirely, as they don‘t work or seem to serve any purpose, or to display the right name, right date and make the buttons work.
If it stays like that, the app just seems incomplete. -

Can’t use the beep feature or communicate with other drivers. I’ve noticed it is a problem for many other people too.

Beeping at other wazers doesn’t work (it’s just greyed out). Plus I think there’s a glitch with usage time - every wazer I see on journeys (even baby wazers) say that they’ve been using the app for 7 or 8 years - would be a strange coincidence if everyone along the road has been using for the exact same amount of time.

Enable the Beep at other Wazers option in CarPlay. Can do it from iPhone App but when using CarPlay we cannot Beep at our fellow Wazers. Kids love doing it & is a small community.

No way to contact directly, Please address message and beep problem, all Wazers are grayed out, gives no names, this is documented all over forums and the rest of web. Hopefully this gets addressed promptly, it is not isolated problem.

Some great conversations happen on map chat. Many improvements are needed but an easy way to improve those conversations would be the ability to click on a wazer who has posted in map chat and make them a friend. You could then send them private messages, beep at them, etc...
