sound alert for new route
I use my waze on my daily drive, and occasionally when there is a traffic accident, I get re-routed. The problem is that I don't see the little pop-up that says, there's a better route every time. And I end up missing a faster route and being stuck in traffic. A sound alert to tell me I'm re-routed would really help this problem.

This is important. As others stated, for a route you use day in day out, you don't want or need audible directions all the time so you turn off the audible routing guidance but you do tend to keep audible alerts on for various things.
Waze should recognise what would be the "normal" route and know when it's re-routed you due to a problem ahead.
This should be announced as an alert so we take notice and don't just drive home on "autopilot" oblivious to the re-routing and end up in traffic. It could be announced at the start of your drive if known about then or when the re-routing calculation takes place or better still, a little before you reach the junction where you need to go a different way to normal.

when Waze is on alert only sound mode... it should be enabled to alert the driver of route changes. Please and thank you.

Hello,
I use waze every day for my route betwen work and home
As I know the route, I put the sound mode in "alert only". But if the road is close (for an accident for example), waze changes my route but does not warn me by voice.
Would it be possible to add a new "sound mode" which automatically switches to voice guidance if the route is changed. -

Sería interesante que se indicara cuando se pasa de una comuna a otra. Gracias por todo

It would be great if one could get a sound alert when Waze changes the route during a trip due to accidents. queues etc. I'm thinkin this should work when sound settings i set to "Alerts Only". It sometimes happens that I drive on a known motorway and therefore don't look att the map so often. All of a sudden traffic is slow and have missed the rerouting. A sound warning should have helped on those occasions.

When i go to my job every day, Waze has for me the usual rute. Normally i haven’t activate the sound for the job rute. But i see necesary when there’s a accident y the usual rute changes, i need that Waze advise to me this change with a sound for i could pay attention to the new rute. Thanks and sorry for my english.

As far as I can tell, waze decided I should change course during navigation (told me to turn left, but before I did the turn told me to turn right). IMO that is not acceptable, and the least waze should do is tell me it's changing course, preferably also tell me why.

I use Waze as I drive 35 miles each way to and from work. I have the sound set to "Notifications Only," as I don't need turn by turn announcements when I drive the same route 5-6 days a week. However, there has been a time or two when I have encountered a delay in traffic that Waze knew about, and probably routed me around, but, because I don't have the turn by turn sound on, I missed the turn that would have taken me out of the delay. Can it be changed so that when a rerouting is made enroute, that there be some sort of audible notification that a change was made?

I use Waze on my commute and I don't need turn by turn directions, nor do I generally care about road hazards or police. But I do need to hear if the route changes (I often miss them because I am not looking at the screen). So how about an alert setting that alerts only on changes in route or duration?

There should be an alarm that WAZE is re-routing

After Waze finishes recalc the route it should says something: ...folow ahead... for instance, once the silence means that you should keep going ahead and may be get in troubles. I never consult the display for safety reasons, just follow the voice instructions and it would be very helpful.
