I have an idea! I want Waze to develop an app that all US users can access that will help with Homeland Security.
I would love to see Waze develop a "WazeWatch" app that would allow users to post terrorist activity or home land security issues. If someone with the app see some suspicious activity they could put is on the "WazeWatch" app and all of the "WazeWatch" app users in the area could be alerted to the perceived threat. Then others in the area could agree or disagree with it. The real threats would be noticed by hundreds of citizens and they could take action and call the police, stop the activity before it can escalate or evacuate.
Imagine the mass shooting in CA if WazeWatch was in opperation. The neighbors who saw them loading suspicious item in the SUV and others would have been alerted. When they started unloading in the parking lot in front of the building... If a WazeWatch app user saw this they could have instantly alerted other app users in the building.
I would like to see a "photo", "video", "text", or audio recording feature with this app so if an alert popped up on my phone I could see, read or hear what the perceived threat is.
I was going to develop this app myself but after learning about your fantasitc app, I wanted to give you this idea for free in hopes that you will seriously consider adding this app to your portfolio of apps.
What better app could be developed than one that can and will thowart terrorist plots and brutal attacks on innocent US lives.
Please call with question and a deeper dive into this great app idea.
Thank you,
