automatic pot holes detection
At our university we have developed Android app which automaticaly analyses data from accelerometer and detects pot holes and road problems. We mark them to the map so the drivers are informed about a road problem ahead of them. See the app in PLAY store - bit.ly/1RCLM3P
We would like to communicate with WAZE representatives about possibility to transfer our know how to waze navigation.

Since you have a lot of users for the application, maybe it's worth including a function with a pothole finder, that is, using information from accelerometer, gyroscope, GNSS sensors to determine the quality of the road! This data would be available to road maintainers.
