Yes, this is very important for riders. I see things all the time and would log it when i reached my final destination. No way will i pull over to pin it there and then, i'm sure i would then become a statistic.

Agreed. When i get home, it would be nice to help EVERYONE out by marking my town where i KNOW it is flooded. You cannot always do that on the go.

Give verified Public safety users the ability to add incidents, remotely via computer at the dispatch center.
This would give you verified reports in real time, from call-takers and dispatchers of that locality, and would then allow them to offer updates, and warnings of unusual hazards in the roadway.
Also they would be the first to know when the lanes will be reopened, and the routes police will be re-routing people.

I work in Logistics and we receive phone calls every few minutes regarding accidents... our drivers give us exact locations as to where they are and if they're major / minor. We try to alert other carriers / drivers of said hazards before they encounter them also. It would help, if I could flag said accidents via my computer instead of having to be at the location on a mobile device. That way, I could alert other drivers in the area as well... not only semis...
