Police camera ≠ police report
In some countries, it is not allowed to drive with an app giving the exact locations of police cameras (automatic speed control), waze intelligently gives the area where the police cameras are (very useful alert and the utilization of waze is allowed).
But to fight the concept of the "area" most of drivers post a police location each time they pass beside a police camera (I have observed it, a police camera in Paris France is reported every 15 min, sometime several times).
Consequence : waze gives the exact location of each police cameras everyday, every time.
The problem is when authorities will discover this detail... They will blacklist waze and alll wazers will be punished (the police fine in France when a driver uses a prohibited GPS/app cost $1600 and at the second police fine the driver looses the right to drive)
Because a police report to alert a police control inside a control area is useless. Because, in some countries, the utilization of waze becomes illegal when a police report is posted inside a control area, is it possible to do not give the capability to post a police location inside a control area? (To be honest, it is really not complicated to respect the speed limit during 1 or 2 miles)
A police location could be posted everywhere outside these areas and no police camera would be precisely located
Waze is my favorite app when I drive, I want to keep the right to use it.
Thank you

We have Mobile Cameras in our city which they move every day to a new location. Can you create a Mobile camera widget under the police icon? I normally mark as police but people are looking for police and not the mobile camera and then get caught.

Sorry but no thank you. I live in Bordeaux, the higway all around Bordeaux is 28 miles long and is a complete controlled zone (not only 1-2 miles) with fixed cameras and mobile/workout cameras (moving every two weeks).

KEEP where the police are on Waze....the NYPD must not be making enough money....notifying WHERE the police are makes people slow down and makes it safer....

No Stéphane, sorry but the police notification is useful when policemen check the speed with a mobile camera.
This is the principle of this notification it has been created for that by waze developers. I do not have to disable this notification because some drivers do not know how to use it!The police presence has to be reported everywhere, except in a control area, because the police, in this area, is already announced and in our country we have no right to drive with an app showing the exact location of regular police cameras.
Sorry but I do not want to be forced to have an iCoyote plan because I have no longer the right to use waze after his blacklist.

As it is really not complicated to respect the speed limit during 1 or 2 miles, it's also very easy to desactivate police notification in settings…
So, no need to change anything…
