I actually was thinking of this idea and searched for it and found this post. I think it would be especially useful for people coming home from dinner with left overs where they can swing by a known location of homeless to donate and for restaurants that have left over prepared food and can dispense on the way home.

Add an option where the user can mark homeless people locations or concentration. By doing so it will allow users to help them(food, clothing, etc). The idea came when i drive around town in winter and i see some of them walking half naked on the street and without anything to eat so i tought maybe that small gesture could help them alot!

Just need a hazard button for violent street beggars

You could allow people the opportunity to note a beggar up ahead asking for money so people could be prepared in advance for it, either to give the person money or at least not be shocked by it when they come to the stoplight.

GREAT idea! I feel so bad when I drive by them but I'm scared to give them money because they might spend it on booze or drugs! Also my local homeless guys have clothes that aren't dirty or torn, and one has a freaking iPod! You so don't need money! Just sell the iPod if you're that desperate!!!!

Add a report button for "Homeless Person" so people will know when there is a homeless person with a sign asking for money
