Event notification pop-up.
Current event notification covers the majority of the center screen, obstructing view of where the event is specifically located. Adding transparency or moving to a ticker at the top or bottom of screen would be a great improvement.

Notifications about route changes cover the most important part of the screen instead of being displayed on the top of the screen. It is extremely annoying if that happens while driving through a busy junction. Please correct this mayor UX blunder. I wanted to post screenshots but it seems impossible

Kindly change notification for speed camera back to top 🔝 of the screen as it was . And speed camera notification always notify to driver about the speed limit and Camera in same message

With the lastest updates waze is showing the alerts in black and on the bottom of the screen, it's terrible for quick visualization. It was way better when the alerts were shown in bright green and on the upper part of the screen. I suggest changing it to the way it was, or creating an option so users can choose if the alerts will be shown on top or bottom of the screen.

With the new update, the notifications are now at the bottom of the screen. Where my phone has to sit on my dash, my car computer screen blocks it and now I can’t see the notifications

On Android 7 and above, the notification is not at the top of the list but far down below, sometimes even at the very bottom.
The "Waze is running in the background" notification should always be at the top of the list (means you should create it with android highest priority - 5). -

It's 2016, and this is still an issue. I constantly will be approaching a route adjustment, such as a turn, ramp, etc, and the notification popup will come on and cover the essential areas of the map. There is no need whatsoever to have notifications pop up so big, unless your target audience are 60+. Smart phone use has evolved, and we are all used to spotting, understanding, and interacting with smaller notifications. You could literally have a quarter inch bubble that has the police icon on it, and if I want to open it and interact I can. Otherwise, it pops open, voices the notification, and retracts into the side of the screen (allowing me a small sliver to interact with if I want). That's all that is needed.

Instead, add a strip just below the directions at the top, also with black background and white letters. Add a red X to the left of the abbreviated message, e.g, VEHL 0.5 MI, POLC 0.4 MI for vehicle on side of road, police, etc., and a green check mark to the right. X is to dismiss, check mark to acknowledge. This suggestion will take up less real estate on the screen.

Not only this. I think the whole interface could be better designed, so that we could have a better view of the map and the route, which are the main goal of Waze.
If an alert pops-up, the route can be impossible to see. If it is a point I do not know or I have to make a turn, I simply cannot see.The upper bar could be smaller, with smaller fonts and could fit an are for the pop-up in the right corner. The pop-ups could also be semi-transparent, leaving the route to be seen.

Instead of notifications being on the bottom line in menu can it be positioned at top of menu - user decides where to position menu items on waze app.
