Weird, I pulled up waze on my laptop to plan a route and the purple route line covers up the highway names. I dont see how to turn it off unless I delselect the route.

I notice there are no responses to anyone else's complaints either. Maybe investors got rid of all the waze development staff??

Why is the line purple

Do away with the purple lines that hides the real traffic conditions. I see this has been complained about since 2011, not a good sign that Waze will fix this. I am in a traffic jam as a result

Changed the view to 2D, did not make a difference (whoever suggested that was making stuff up!). I agree with everyone else's comments. Seems like a pretty basic fix that they won't make, for whatever reason. So much for it being a great app. No thanks.

I can't believe that this is still a thing in 2019. Everyone raved about this app, but if I can't see the route in green-yellow-red coding, it's of no use for me. :p

I agree. Can we at least make it like Google Maps, where the line you are travelling will change to yellow or red ? I find myself using google maps mostly now and it is all because of that.

Purple line no bueno.

The purple line is terrible. Can’t see traffic congestion with yellow and red.

Just started using it and it sucks to see this purple line. On the highway you can see the speed of traffic on the opposite side of the highway only! On my side: purple line! Who cares about the OTHER SIDE GOING THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION???

Change view from 3D to 2 D. You will be able to see the red or yellow traffic lines.

I hate that purple line. Please color it by traffic such as green for no jam, yellow for light congestion and red for jams.

Not being able to see the traffic on the route has been an issue for years. Wish you could shrink the size of the route line to see the traffic color in the background. Or change the route line color from purple to the color of the traffic in that section.

Please make traffic jams more visible. I cannot see the thin red line beside/below the fast purple one... Would like to use Waze much more but this really prevents. Thanks from Germany!

Wow...Im a new user and wont use again due to the purple lines. Can't see traffic jams. Defeats the purpose!

Maddening that the purple line covers the traffic color. I switched to Google maps because of this.
