purple route line hides traffic

When in navigation mode the purple route line hides the yellow and red lines showing traffic congestion. This discourages me from using the navigation. There could be an option to turn the purple line on/off just like there is an option to turn voice commands on/off

I would rather use Waze than Google Maps but this one issue has me using Maps in many cases. I rarely need directions; I need good traffic avoidance info. Another way, like Maps would be to make the route line wider and use the color for traffic.

Alternatively you could reduce the width of the purple route line so the color of the level of traffic is easier to see while driving. Prior to the recent update the line width was acceptable.
