I completly agree with Keppie. There should be voice warning, that planned route is going to change. It is extremly confusing to plann exact way, choose it in map planner from 3 options and in the middle of the way Waze automatically change route on another option which I do not prefere. This is minimum, what could Waze do - inform about that by voice and has there option if I accept it or not. Extremly easy what would make driving far better and easier. I have never met with this problem before, but on my last holiday trips this year it failed in same way - it choosed automatically without warning new route which I do not prefer. I use Waze through Android Auto. I remmember, that in past time Waze asked, if I want accept new route when I used navigation directly on mobile screen in the past time. Now it seems, that Waze is not asking anymore. If is there only small notification on car screen, then it is very easy to overlooked it, but I think, that this option was just removed. It is really important to make this information clearly, ideally by voice warning.

Like most people, I have been misguided by GPS service devices before, so I am very cautious & maybe even doubtful when a pre planned route, traveled many times, is altered midstream with “no” explanation. It would be a great improvement if Waze changes a pre planned route for reasons such as accident delays, construction or detour delays, etc, to announce a route change verbally and/or written, a changed in the route & why so me, the driver doesn’t believe my guidance app suddenly got hacked or quit working.

“Warning: There is a route change ahead.” Should be used to alert the Wazer of a change in route. It’s to easy to miss the little message sentence that is hard to read while driving. A voice warning would allow the driver to know something has happened (accident, traffic or weather) that triggered a route change ahead.

Can feature inform drivers reason for route change e.g. accident, standstill traffic, etc
