Heads up Display (HUD)
make an heads up display icon so that the user can place it on their dash and the reflection will show up on the windshield.. for night time driving whee it is safer to stare closer to the road versus looking down...other apps use this idea but they dont have the GPS ability..it will set waze apart from all other GPS systems..and make it look extra cool!

HUD on waze is an excellent feature. This is already the trend and it is best incorporated rather than running a separate HUD app.

More HUD available options are on the market now. Other apps are staying current with this trend. Waze... we're waiting!!!

Sygic, Navmii GPS and HUDWAY are competitors owning the HUD. There is now plenty of head rest support in addition to the windscreen. Ex: focus on http: // www. Display-head-high. En / à € 49 which works very well with your competitor.
So when does this feature? Because personally I prefer Waze as GPS to others. -

The app needs a HUD mode option.
Waze is by far the best navigation app around at the moment but is missing a HUD mode to make it safer to use on the road. -

I just received my HUDWAY glass and while I do like it their GPS leaves a lot to be desired. There is no better GPS out there then WAZE, a HUD option would definitely knock it out of the box. Please consider adding this!

Just saw the HUDWay glass gizmo. Looks very interesting, but won't buy it yet because Waze doesn't have HUD setting. I guess I'll keep propping the phone up on top of my steering column.
I LOVE Waze! You guys have an awesome product... Saved me from getting stuck in traffic from an accident on the way home two days ago. :)

It beats logic that Waze does not have a HUD mode at this point. I mean, really. You help with traffic with our assistance. Waze has us believing that there is a great coexistence between Waze and us (users), so, why not keep it up, and help users stay focused on the road?
Just my 2 cents. -

Hudway is not the way forward for Head Up Displays. It's a wildly overpriced gimmick (another term for which is "kickstarter project") ... just a piece of plastic that reflects the phone screen and relies upon the phone being able to mirror its display. Pfft! Junk. If it was $9.99, okay, fine, if you want to look like a twit trying to fiddle with your phone while it's sitting precariously out of reach on the dash, waiting to be a ballistic projectile when you get into an accident while trying to clear an alert from the screen or interact with the nav app to reroute to a faster route, etc.
I think the HUD solution is a transparent, flexible phone display filament (as LG and Samsung have produced) driven by screen cast already built into all Android and iOS (airplay or googlecast.)
