Heads up Display (HUD)
make an heads up display icon so that the user can place it on their dash and the reflection will show up on the windshield.. for night time driving whee it is safer to stare closer to the road versus looking down...other apps use this idea but they dont have the GPS ability..it will set waze apart from all other GPS systems..and make it look extra cool!

Would be a great idea. I have used a HUD to show speed altitude etc which worked fine.

Per, it does work, I already use Waze on my windscreen and the only thing that bothers me are the reversed directions. I think that change would be great!

I don't think it would work.
Because the windscreen is doubble-layer and that will result in a doubble image of the map.
So it's wery hard to see the image clear.
It's like watching a 3D-movie without the googles... -

Definitely a great idea. Not sure if local laws allow it but I place mine on the dash at night for that purpose. Would be nice if we didn't have to remember left is right and right is left. This would be a big plus for WAZE!!!

I had the same idea and I think this would be an awesome feature.
The HUD should be able to only display the next turn. with a full screen display of the turn. -

I agree with you, it shouldn't be very hard to add to Waze app. On Android, I'm using GPS Hud but it's only showing the speed.

omg, my phone fits perfectly in this cubbyhole of my car, and it reflects into the windshield!!! i use waze all the time, it would be so cool to see the reflection of waze in my windshield instead of looking down. please incorporate this!!! there are plenty of apps that provide HUD information, but none are as useful as waze of course! it would really help out a lot of people! ive scoured the internet to see if i can just flip the entire android display, but it doesnt work that way. its on a per app basis!!! i would shit my pants if i could this!! love waze!!
