Heads up Display (HUD)

make an heads up display icon so that the user can place it on their dash and the reflection will show up on the windshield.. for night time driving whee it is safer to stare closer to the road versus looking down...other apps use this idea but they dont have the GPS ability..it will set waze apart from all other GPS systems..and make it look extra cool!

    Just thought through this: How would someone add a user report if this was in HUD mode. Don't get me wrong, I love the HUD mode but this may hinder one of the core functions within Waze

    This is in the pipe since 2012... and seems a very popular and logical evolution...

    Thus I suppose Waze has decided not to do it for some reason... too bad, would like to understand why....

    Please make HUD mode an integral part of the app - who other to do it properly than you guys? You can even afford to consider a completely optimised color scheme and layout rather than just introduce screen image mirrorring, just because you CAN do it best for Waze and us - the user base. This should boost the appeal of the app to even more users and provide some much-needed versatility. Make it a paid option if you have to, just DO it! :)

    This app realy need HUD Mode. Waze is the best app, bit without HUD i need to intal other app and I don't want that!

    Other apps has done it but nothing is compared to waze the only thing lacking is the HUD(Heads up display)option for it to be perfect. The HUD is used by fighter pilots to keep their eyes on target while looking at data they need. Information is displayed on the canopy. How does it work for phones? The image will be flipped then you put your phone on the dashboard thus reflecting the right image on the windshield. Light intensity should be adjustable for safe driving. You get to see the map without you having to have your eyes elsewhere.

    I tried apps with HUD mode and I would use any one of them them exclusively if they had the same features that Waze has. When one of them adopts most of those features I will switch to one of those apps, and I'm sure others feel the same. Waze needs to add this feature before a the competition adds the same features that Waze has along with HUD mode.

    I am new to WAZE. Great features. But if no HUD it is convoluted and of no use to me. Bye.

    Any progress on this? Are there any vehicles with head up display that allow Waze turn by turn directions?

    To get around the problem with crowd reporting, integrate voice recognition. This could be an example script;
    Okay Waze, Report.
    —-Okay, what would you like to —-report?
    Vehicle stopped on shoulder
    —-Vehicle stopped on shoulder?
    Yes
    —-Reported, Thank you!

    It’s so simple. Doesn’t need to be all fancy. Just Digital speed, local speed limit, alerts ahead with a simple pictogramand if you are navigating just show the path needed... I can draw you a concept if you like?

    Please add support for a HUD mode. Would make driving a lot more safe.
    Now that more and more cars are getting HUD’s I think it would be a good time to make it available.

    Waze Really needs the HUD mode option. All they have to do is flip and invert the display. If they just inverted it there are apps that will flip the screen. People have been asking for it for years and you can now get the HUD holder for $ 5 at 5Below. Not sure why it is taking so long to incorporate this much needed feature that would make safety improve. It is a great bang for the buck issue. Waze is great but would be better if they programed the display to to HUD mode.
