Option to turn off alerts for road construction
I can choose to toggle Road Constructions on or off for "Display On Map."
I would like to be able to toggle off alerts for Road Constructions, specifically, under "Alerts on Route."
Driving in Minnesota in the summer, it is a given that there will be road construction everywhere. It's nice to be able to see it on the map, and have the app use the information in its routing calculations, but I don't need an alert to tell me that it is there. It interrupts whatever else I am listening to, and it is not necessary to alert me about something that is so prevalent.

Extremely annoying that nothing has been done about this. Why do we even need an audio alert when driving. Any construction has signs up miles before you actually get there. As a user who has Waze on all the time it is pointless to tell me about construction that has been there for three years!

It is super easy to add a slide toggle for "Alert while driving", just like it is done for Police and Crashes alerts. Come on Google, please do this easy fix and stop allowing needless sound interruptions to our drives.

Please Waze do something about this. I always report "not there" but there are always people that insist on reporting it again. My entire commute is a construction zone so I had to turn off all alerts. And people are reporting construction throughout the entire zone so I my alerts are on that is all I hear. Very annoying.

Google, please action this. As others have stated, these alerts are ridiculously redundant because if there's one thing about construction zones, there is always ample signage well ahead of these. At the very LEAST, give us the option to turn off the alerts.

I would like to add my voice to this. There is a significant construction zone near me that has accumulated up to 5 alerts throughout the construction zone. One person put the alert on at the end of the zone. Very annoying.

Yes PLEASE give us the option to toggle announcements for construction. The Chicago area is always under construction. Always. The annoyance at having my audio book constantly interrupted makes me default to Google maps instead.

Agreed, this alert is ridiculous. I do the same thing and say it’s not there and the next day someone adds another one. There’s got to be a way to disable this individual alert. Any idiot can see there’s construction we don’t need to be interrupted to remind me I’m in construction zone

Seriously, why is construction alerts even a feature? There are signs for it MILES before you encounter it which are way more useful than being told it's coming up in a half mile so it's stupidly redundant. The fact that you can't even turn them off is extra frustrating.

Pulling this suggestion out of 2017. Have you ever driven on I-4? It’s never not under construction. And now that I use Waze regularly, the single most annoying thing is being in the middle of a construction zone and having my music turn down for an alert to tell me that construction is ahead. I’m already in it. I’ve been in it for miles. I’ll be in it for miles more. Why must someone put a random construction warning out in the middle of it? I say it’s no longer there, and someone adds another one in somewhere else along the construction the next day. I am beyond exhausted with this alert. It’s unnecessary and I want it out of my life. The slightly better traffic management over google maps is not worth the often 12 times a day warning about the construction I was already in during all of those alerts letting me know that construction is ahead.
Have I made my point yet? Because this should not have taken 5 years to be revisited. This has to be a really easy piece of code to update. Please, for the love of all that is good in this world, allow us to individually turn off not just construction alerts, but each individual alerts. Why are any of them being forced upon us? Especially one as annoying and useless as construction?
