More Road Closure Options
While navigating, if a road is closed, we have the option to enter that a turn is closed. You can enter construction, with temporary, or "several hours", or "several days". You should be able to enter times. For example, a road near my work is only open from 530am - 6pm M-F. There is no way to submit that.

In Jerusalem there are over 200 roads closed on Saturdays in religious neighborhoods, some close to the center of the city. The city has a list of them (I now have it, too) and so it is possible to know exactly which have official permission to be blocked off and are indeed unpassable on Saturday. I suggest that you mark such roads on your map of Jerusalem so that tourists don't get stuck or encounter hostile reactions from the locals!

When there is a major even such as a parade the only way to indicate road closures is to drive to the area and enter the closure thru the app. When a large area is involved you have to drive to all the areas or depend on others to indicate the road is closed. If we could use the online map editor to mark the roads as temporarily closed it would save a lot of time, gas, and frustration since we could mark all the affected roads at once. This would also be helpful when we see something on the news about a road being flooded or washed out without having to drive there to mark it on the map.

One of the best features Waze offers is navigating users on a route that avoids closed roads. If a user is routed a certain way, but can't make a turn because the road is closed, it would be nice if the driver could just say road closed and Waze would know that current turn wasn't available and automatically marks the road/exit closed (for other drivers) while re-routing the current driver. I live in Wisconsin and there is pleeeeenty of road construction and regularly closed exits/roads/bridges.
Related, it would be nice if a user could manually select the duration of the road closure. For example, I know that an on ramp is going to be closed for two months (per construction plans posted in the local news). I was able to mark the on ramp as closed that day (which was thanked by plenty of Wazers), but I appeared to be open the following day.

Ability to report temporary closures for drawbridges. my route home has two, and occasionally it'll open up during rush hour, completely trashing evening traffic. a drawbridge report would be excellent.

I think there should be a roadworks reporting button. For example when there's a temp traffic light or one lane closed due to road works

I work for the NYCDOT, AND I tried to mark Waverly Place between MacDougal and 6th Avenue in New York City as closed ( since I was the one that closed it for 3 hours). But it only gave me the option to mark close several other blocks. As I close streets on a daily basis is there a way that I will be able to mark them as close without having to go around the block and approach it. I believe it will be helpful to waze users As I close multiple Streets on a daily basis.

I would really like a tempory traffic light button and a roadworks button in the right menu as these are always around through out the year no matter where you are and I don't feel that at this time that road closure covers roadworks really because the road isn't closed its just being worked on.

Allow users to report temporarily closures. If its for construction allow user to report when it is scheduled to reopen.
