Move vehicle back to the bottom center of the screen in landscape mode
I use an iPad mini in the dash of my car and the arrow representing the car and the highlighted route is on right 1/3 of the screen which cuts off the right side of the map. I like to see the streets to see if there is a better route in certain situations.
Having an option to have the arrow on the bottom center or bottom right/left would be a good compromise.

Yes, adding a setting that would allow the navigation to be centered would be awesome! I run Waze in widescreen and it's always off to the side.

5 Nov 23. OK I see this is a very old question. First time user today. Tablet set to landscape and the car icon was not centrol along the bottom of the screen. All I need is the option to place the car icon at the bottom centre. 800km trip. Lots of the time moving towards the RH side of the screen which meant almost no visible route. As the icon is placed along the bottom of the screen all of the picture is presented for ref. Lots of users navigate using tablets in landscape. Wayze is not iPhone centric.

very annoying, I don't see the advantage of moving the car to the far right. Please fix this.

I agree. Navigation button on the top left is much too big.

YES PLEASE! I rely heavily on Waze as a navigation tool and moving the arrow is on the right-hand 1/3 of the screen instead of the centre. I know it frees up a little bit of space from top to bottom, but I use an iPhone 6 Plus so I can see a lot more than regular phone screen users. Is it possible to add the centred arrow as an option to some iOS and Android devices? If my directions are to the right of my screen, I cannot see many future turns, especially at potentially complicated junctions.
Thanks!

Since recent updates (believe since 4.31 for iOS) the live map has been shifted off center to the right, causing the appearance of the map to look off kilter while in landscape mode. This is especially apparent when you are not actively navigating. Please provide a way to go back to the classic centered view, perhaps from a setting/option.

I use an Android Build-in Car Unit. It is always in Landscape View. I also noticed that the Car Icon is in the middle of the screen. If it is positioned at the bottom of the screen it will allow more screen space to view the upcoming route.
Also consider to limit the "Next Turn Notification Bar" on the top of the Screen to say 1/4th of the screen width while in landscape to allow for more screen space to view upcoming route.

When my phone is in landscape mode, directions bar and the notifications (alerts) bar take too much space in the screen. I can't see the route. Português: Quando o telefone está na posição de paisagem, as barras de direção e alertas ocupam muito espaço da tela. Não consigo visualizar a rota corretamente.

Why is the "vehicle" in the middle of the screen? It should be placed near bottom, to free space for map ahead.
The same with navigation bars what about not rotating whole screen, but only all elements and descriptions?
