Have an OPTION for arriving on the same-side of the street as the destination.
This would apply mostly to cities but it could also apply in other congested areas. Arriving on the wrong side of the street in a city situation can be as bad as arriving several blocks away since in order to turn into the parking for the building you cannot crossover the heavy traffic or possibly a median. Instead you have to come up with your own way of circling around (and there may be many 1-way streets to thwart you) to get your vehicle on the same side of the street as the destination so you can park/drop off or what have you.
Again, I think this should be an option because often it doesn't matter and one can either safely make the turn or dropping off on the opposite street side isn't an issue.

I drive a handicapped accessible van with the ramp on the right side. I would like to plan my route. If I know in advance that the destination will be on the left I can plan to go around the block. Apple Maps shows me in the turn by turn

At a minimum, I would like to see this as an option for Places in WME, to force routing to arrive with the destination on the drive-side of the roadway. In urban areas, hotels and other large facilities often have drop-off/pick-up, or valet areas that cannot be accessed from the opposite side of the roadway.

Plz set up (fix?) Waze so that it doesn't default to always having driver, drive to a destination (which usually ends up being "long way around",) just to pull up and you're on the opposite side of the road!
Would prefer that when I get to a destination, I was given the quickest route possible, first, and I am "dropped" on the side of the road that does NOT put the driver in peril when they get out > in this world of the "gig" worker > how about a selection for CAR TYPE > GIG? (and since our addy is already in the app as a registered user? It would know WHAT COUNTRY, so the app would know, which side we're supposed to drive on? Etc...??) -

It also allows a passenger to get in safely. Waze used to do this. Why has it stopped?

Arriving on the same side of the road as the destination is the best and safest option. The vehicle could be parked by the destination with the driver not having to cross the road, or the vehicle could enter a car park at the destination without having to turn across traffic. This would also avoid the temptation to perform a u-turn to park outside the destination.

Arrivals at destinations on the right of vehicles helps unload younger children and disabled passengers , passengers in luxury coaches, limousines and chauffeured passengers safely away from speeding cars on the side of the street

As a school bus driver, you can appreciate that safety isn't just important to me: Its EVERYTHING!!! I would like to see a "safe dropoff" option which would plan my route in such a way that I arrive on the same side of the street as my destination. That way my passengers will not have to cross the street. This feature would be usefull to cabbies and Uber drivers as well

I want to be able to decide which side of the car the passengers will be getting out of unregular basis based on driving directions for example if I constantly let out on the passenger side or pick up on the passenger-side on a 2 Way St. I want to be navigated to society that I select more often by choice. I drive a disabled vehicle so I need to have access to the wheel chair ramp which is on the passenger side of my vehicle at all times through all my deliveries.
