Automatically break up long routes
Waze has a hard time calculating long (several hundred miles) trips, because of all the data it tracks. The solution is to break your trip up into shorter segments. I propose to have Waze do this automatically.
When a very long trip is requested, have Waze calculate the route, then set the person's destination to an intermediate point. When they reach that point, set it to the next intermediate point, etc., ending up at their final destination. This would ease the lag in the app when, for instance, Waze has to re-calculate your 800-mile route. Instead, it would only be handling small segments at a time, with the others queued for later.

Waze has got better at this, in my opinion, but this would still be a valuable feature.

In my opinion, it would be very interesting and absolutely safer, in a long trip, over 1,000 km, there is the possibility of dividing the trip in days, so that the driver can rest the night and resume the trip at dawn. It would be even more interesting and important if Waze reported, at the end of the daily route, options for hosting in the vicinity!

Previously (Spring of 2015) Waze would route to a destination within 1000 miles. For example, between Dallas, TX and Denver, CO. Now, when attempting to route a notice pops up to break the route into smaller segments.
Due to the limited number of routes this isn't practical as it's very dependent on weather and traffic conditions. The very reason I use Waze.
Waze advertises the ability to route to destinations less than 1000 miles. Please make it so.
