Make changing sound output device safer and easier
please, Please, PLEASE add an option to the "Sound" icon/options on the map screen to redirect the sound output between the phone and the car.
The current path to change this option is FAR too distracting and dangerous(!) with 3 taps while having to scan the screen to determine what to tap, then a scroll through a list followed by a 4th tap. Shouldn't this only be 1-2 taps and readily accessible from the main screen; if for no other reason than to avoid potential disaster, or having to pull over and stop just to change where the sound is directed (phone or car)? A simple single-tap-to-toggle-between (device & BT) would be ideal.
I use Waze (a lot) in AND out of a car, as well as in many others' cars and it seems the sound is often pointed to the wrong device, which isn't readily apparent (there's nothing on-screen to indicate current setting - which that would be nice too... perhaps a color change of the icon?), and of course this isn't realized until already under way when it's become a hazard to change.
Most often I'm using Waze under Android Auto which then adds 3-4 more taps/interfaces with the phone (wake device, swipe up to unlock Android Auto, launch Waze (task mgr or icon tap); prior to the above path to the option - approaching 10 taps/swipes/scroll motions on the phone. Android Auto is designed to keep the phone out of play but to change the sound in Waze currently requires picking the phone up (which of course is undesired and even illegal in some US states) instead of using the in-dash screen as intended.
The result is missed turns, frustration, and dangerous distraction. Please make this safer by adding access to the "Play sound on phone" functionality/switch/setting from the main map screen (say...under the existing sound/speaker icon).
Thanks,
C
