Police
Sorry to upset all of the folks asking for more features to warn of police presence but this is a childish feature which should be removed. Waze is a great app and you would be best served by taking the "high road" and promoting the app as an aid to road safety by making drivers aware of road situations and hazards. But many wazers like me have their kids also driving and I am just waiting with dread for the day that a fellow wazer tells a drunken driver how to avoid a policeman and then that drunk driver kills the wazer's kid. The police are mainly there for our safety - protect our kids and don't tell dangerous drivers where the police are!!

DO YOU MEAN "SUSPICIOUS?" AND HAVE YOU EVER SEEN AN ACCIDENT WHERE SOMEONE WAS SPEEDING AND SLAMMED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE? NO. IT'S A HORRIBLE SCENE. IT LEAVES YOU WITH NIGHTMARES.

PLEASE STOP POSTING POLICE LOCATIONS! IT DOES NOT MAKE ME FEEL SAFE TO BE ON DUTY AND SEEING MYSELF POSTED AS A "POLICE TRAP" WHEN REALLY I AM BUSY HELPING SOMEONE WHO IS BROKEN DOWN AND NEEDS MY HELP, OR IF I'M TRYING TO MAKE THE ROAD SAFER!! I WANT TO GO HOME SAFELY TO MY FAMILY AND NOT BE SHOT OR RAN OVER BY SOMEONE WHO FOUND MY LOCATION ON WAZE! IF YOU REALLY NEED THE LOCATION OF POLICE, SO YOU CAN GO SLOW AROUND US, THEN SPEED UP AFTERWARD, THEN YOU SHOULDN'T BE DRIVING!!!!! SPEEDERS KILL OTHER PEOPLE AND THEMSELVES AND WE ARE HERE TO PREVENT CAR ACCIDENTS BY STOPPING YOU!

Most Waze user are safe drivers. A small segment of bad drivers use the location of police to facilitate speeding and other hazardous behavior that actually causes death and injury. If Waze does not want to do any harm we should stop this process.

A police car on the side of the road is a hazard just the same as a regular stopped car is. It is good to know not only to slow down, but to to prepare to pull over into another lane in states that require doing so.

Most dumpest enhansment request. You have a problem boy. Listen. It's not your business and you can't judge others for their behavior. If you don't speed. Don't and stay on the right. That's all what I can say to you

I don't get why there is this feature request in the first place.
What's the reason for requesting to remove probably one of the most reported events on the app? To sound more of a tool than actually giving suggestion to improve waze? -

Not because police are only out there to collect review, not to protect you . I pay taxes , they don't need more.

What's the reason for reporting? To alert someone that is committing a crime, so he doesn't get caught. This is wrong. -

You could extend this argument to speed cameras too - speeding drivers may also cause accidents. But let's be fair, the police are usually in attendance because there is an incident, which may be a distraction to other drivers, or mean that there are increased numbers of pedestrians or other road users likely to be in a vulnerable position/state. In addition police cars often stop obstructing the highway, so there is almost certainly going to be a traffic issue too.
In my opinion, the benefits of having this information outweigh the likelihood of it being abused and remember, whilst the data appears in realtime, it is not guaranteed to be 100% accurate, police cars may move, or remain undetected.
Also, consider the psychology of drink-driving, the possibility of being caught by the police has already been discounted by the driver, I would not imagine they consider evasion to be a priority over getting to their destination via the shortest or least complex route.
Waze is not designed to help drunk drivers it is designed to help communities. If you believe drink driving is a particular issue in your community, you should work together as a communtiy to address it.
Now, add the ability to track bad/drunk drivers on Waze and you might be on to something.
