Entities reporting Road Closures
Government departments or other entities that may close roads should have the capability to report road closures in advance and monitor these closures from the back end.

Hi,
I am the chairperson for a municipal planning commission. The municipality to which I service suffers from road flooding several times each year. Vehicles ignore alternate route signs. My guess is that they are following navigation software. It would be awesome if the navigations sites were able to report municipal road closings as well as alternate routes based on municipal emergency management requirements. The reason for my suggestion is that we often times end up with tractor trailers on roads that are unable to support the vehicles and results in significant damage to the road structures. By having coordination between navigation software and local emergency management resources, these situations could be significantly reduced.

Actively promote Waze to be used by roadworkers. Users would then see closures as and when they happen and navigate around the issue and roadworkers would have less people angry with them for closing roads. Many thanks, J

I work for a traffic control company in charge of closing, shifting, and flagging traffic around public work (gas, electric, internet). It would really help us and drivers if we could have more control over reporting closures and delays that immediately get approved until we cancel them. If we could provide verification and receive priority reporting options it would make everyone's day so much easier.
