active traffic bar
waze would be the PERFECT nav app if it had one more thing...an active traffic bar like the "copilot gps" app. seems like you could just take the traffic jam bar you already have (which is not very useful) and turn it into a permanent bar on the side of the map that reaches out to the end of the destination or up to maybe 50 miles or so...and updates every 5 mins or so with green/yellow/red based on traffic along the route. mapquest does a basic form of this but it's not quite right...however, copilot gps does it perfectly. i can't tell you how many times i run right into a jam without ever knowing. in fact, i have to check inrix before i leave and if i sense a backup along the way just to plan ahead, which is dangerous and annoying. heck, i bet most folks would even pay a little surcharge for this critical feature! do this one thing and you will be the absolute best nav app ever!!! thanks, marlin

waze has one huge negative IMO...it does not show live traffic along the route which has caused me to drive right into jams that could've easily been avoided had i known ahead of time. copilot gps has what's called a "live traffic bar" that looks out up to 50 miles or so and shows green/yellow/red sections based on the current traffic. i never knew how valuable this was until i started using waze. interestingly, waze has something called a "traffic jam bar" that helps to guess how long a backup might be but i'd prefer to know about backups before i drive into them and if waze could have both, that would be even better! vote if you agree so a human might see this suggestion for consideration. thanks!!
