In Brasil when in traffic jam, Waze always makes an alternative route, wich goes throught several dangerous areas. It would be nice to kind of maping them, making a shortcut trhu an favela isn't really nice.

Big cities are having more and more security problems on the roads such as assaults, etc. Will be SUPER to be capable to add events like those, with description of the mechanisms using for the bad guys so users can avoid those areas or be more caution

In dangerous and insecure cities such a as Mexico City there are robberies in stand stills, many of them armed. Sometimes other cars are expectators.

It would be interesting to have a feature so that robberies could be reported anonimously by expectators. That way, Police could spot dangerous areas with in the city.
In the city reporting robberies is such a hassle that virtually no one does it.

While the functionality of the app to guide you through the routes with less traffic is great, I think it would be important to consider contact with the police to take note of the areas of the city where if someone just pass with the car it could be victim of threatening the safety of passengers when exposed to potential theft or robbery.
The other day I was using the app and it told me to go down a path where if anyone does not know that the zone is dangerous it could possibly enter and suffer any dangerous situation, I preferred to not follow that route and wait until the app gaves me another one instead of exposing my car and my/mine passengers safety.
I recommend that waze have interaction with the police and have knowledge about dangerous areas to avoid possible exposure to situations of theft or assault.

There are other apps to achieve that. Don' t you think robbers can't use waze and delete the markings?

In Brazil, there are situations where many thieves together try to rob many cars at once, for example, in a traffic jam, this would require a Red Alert :)

The same way we can warn police we would have an icon to warn robbery on traffic light and so on. It would keep other users with open yeys on the area and help police to watch the area.
