CarPlay car audio Navigation volume test addition
I have noticed in two cars (my 2019 Nissan and a 2019 Subaru) that with CarPlay the "Navigation" volume can only be adjusted when the Waze app is actually "saying" something.
It is possible to stimulate a voice response (change to an alternate route and hit "go" or use the microphone to enter a nonsense command).
The addition of a "test navigation sound" to the "sound options" menu in Waze would be a more helpful and direct method to adjust the car's entertainment system "navigation" volume. Waze could just babble about something and show a tool tip "adjust car audio volume now" for 20 seconds or until the user exits the test.

Exactly, came here for this. Why do I have to guess when an instruction is being given so I can, at that moment, and only at that particular moment, increase the volume? it's ridiculous and dangerous! there was a time, years ago, when it worked perfectly, but in the meantime and for the last few years, it has reversed back to what it was before, bc in the beginning it was also like this. Please fix this, it's critical for a safe navigation.

A followup comment to my own post: The easiest way to adjust Waze CarPlay Navigation volume that I have found is to poke the microphone icon to start a voice command, then say "help". This gets a brief verbal prompt and stays in the voice command mode (so just say "help" again to get Waze to talk some more).
