Constant alarm when you go over the speed limit with thresholds
Most speeding limit cameras are set to issue a ticket for going greater than 10mph over the limit. I'd like an alarm that goes off and continues to go off for as long as you are X mph over the speed limit AND where you can adjust X to whatever threshold limit you desire.
If the threshold in your state is 10mph over the limit, I would probably make the alarm to go off and stay beeping as long as I'm greater than 8 mph over the speed limit.
In other states such as VA and KY, a ticket can be issued for being as little as 5mph over the speed limit, so the threshold alarm value X described above could be adjusted to as little as 1 or 2 mph over the limit.
I think the alarm needs to be constant and stay on until you adjust your speed to below the threshold because it's easy to lose track of how fast you're going and to get >10mph over the limit without even realizing it. There are many zones in NYC that are 25mph and getting up to 35mph inadvertently is very easy.

This original request is 7 years old, can we get an update on whether it is likely or planned? I can assume reasons why Waze might prefer not to offer more overspeed alerting but would like confirmation if it is intentionally on hold indefinately.

Overspeeding is a big issue in some parts of the world, where enforcement of speed limits happens to be very strict and severe. In these places the overspeed alerting is a critical feature that would make people use Waze all the time, if it was a little more personalised like below.
Please make it possible to set two or three overspeed alert thresholds, with different behaviour settings at each level.
For example a user could have a single beep when they are over the speed limit by their set amount (like Waze is now), but also a setting to define how often that alert resets so it can beep them once, every minute, every 5 seconds, etc.
A second limit the user sets might be at a higher overspeed amount, perhaps when a ticket is possible, and the audio alert might be more intrusive, perhaps a beep every half second.
A third limit the user sets could be higher again, at a point where a loss of license is possible, and the alert might be a constant tone that doesn't stop until their speed is reduced.Further, if the user can choose the tones for each then they might personalise them to something they hear more easily, or the sound of a siren rather than a beep.
How do I get feedback on whether this suggestion has already been made, is under consideration, or is not planned for any timeframe?

Would be NICE, because the current overspeed is not very loud, and repeats at a long internval. Just an option to change the interval at which the overspeed alarm is sounded would already be great (and safer for everybody, and good for my wallet). Thanks

option to turn on / off Constant alarm when you go over the speed limit half mile ( or variable ) before speed camera
