Slow down & move over warning for Emergeny Responders
Warn motorists of Emergency Responders (police cars, tow trucks, ambulances) with a Slow Down Move Over warning. Lives are being lost at alarming rates and any support of the move over laws are greatly appreciated.

Identify the median as for incident location just as you do shoulder and definitely add MOVE over for all first responders including tow trucks! Vocal reminders of MOVE Over Its the Law.

B4 I started towing I wasn't aware it was a law and how dangerous it can be. So anything that brings awareness will help

I've been in the towing industry for 25 years and I have been clipped by mirrors twice while working roadside. Anything you can down to help reduce the death rate would be greatly appreciated.

I'm a road worker and know first hand people don't slow down or move over, this needs to change to protect our police and road workers and let them go home at night just like everyone else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been a first responder of some sort for many years and I had seen the ending result of someone not paying attention and following the law so I think this is a great idea to have this in the app.

My name is Mark , I have been a Tow Truck Driver for over 35 years , adding the "Slow Down and Move Over" to your app could save so many lives just by informing them that we are out their over 6 drivers have already died this year ! it seems that a Tow Truck Driver is killed One every six days so sad Please give me a call if you need any info thank you

Thank you so much. I see the other requests on here and other than the largest one voted on there are not any that would save lives. All are cosmetic and trivial compared to what this could change for those who work on the White Line. We can only keep pushing for change or no change will happen. Help us be safer when saving your loved ones on the side of the road. When you are a top used app for traffic and notifications it seems like a no brainer to ask for a solution from. Thank you again for all the support and not minding my incessant posting and reminding. =)

Hi WAZE,
I have employed hundreds of Highway Heroes (emergency roadside responders) throughout the years and we work hard to rescue stranded motorists and take them and their vehicles to safety and or repair. Of all my drivers and drivers throughout the US, we lose their lives at alarmning rates mainly because of distracted drivers. If you were to alert the distracted drivers and advise them to Slow down and Move over, you would be the Hero's Hero! Your assistance can ensure many parents return to their kids at night. We appreicate your consideration. It truly is life or death over here.
God bless your great service already. I know it has helped my staff and I endlessly. -

I'm a former NYC traffic reporter who has a son-in-law who's a cop. I recorded special traffic safety prompts for Waze with a "slow down/move over" message that plays when emergency vehicles are reported on the shoulder. If you wish to check it out you can download the prompts here: https://www.waze.com/ul?acvp=CB6BA079-93EB-46E4-A8F0-C6BC78EEC877

This is excellent for everybody--motorists & emergency responders of all types (including tow trucks which often get left out, yet risk their lives just the same).

My husband and I own a towing company. I support anything that will help keep him, myself and all of my employee’s safe. Slow down, move over-, lt's the LAW, lets get the word out any way we can
