Universal 2nd Factor Authentication (U2F, MFA)
Waze should introduce support for Universal 2nd Factor authentication via authentication app (not SMS) to ensure user data (especially location data) is as secure as possible. More info on support for U2F, 2FA, and USB dongles can be found here:

I completely agree that adding U2F or authenticator-app based 2FA instead of SMS would be a major security upgrade, especially for sensitive location data. I’ve been using the https://apps.apple.com/us/app/fastvpn-secure-private/id1381516895 on public Wi-Fi, and it’s been stable and simple to use in daily browsing. It definitely reduces my concerns about data exposure when travelling or using shared networks. Stronger login security plus VPN protection feels like the right direction.

It's a reckless cybersecurity attitude in 2023 to have no 2FA/MFA implementation enforced or even available

The first step in setting up radius 2 factor authentication https://www.protectimus.com/radius/ is to configure your authentication settings. You need to update your VPN device's authentication scheme or replace it with a Duo RADIUS server. Once you've made the change, you'll need to log into your network with the authentication device to receive a push notification or a phone callback. Duo Mobile users can use Duo Push for this process.
